What Is a Lack Mindset—and How Is It Blocking Your Abundance?

Most people don’t realize how often they slam the door on their own abundance—not because of failure, but because of fear. A lack mindset doesn’t just whisper “be careful”; it screams play it safe, don’t take the risk, you might lose everything. But the truth is, that “safe” choice? It’s often the most dangerous one of all.

Why? Because when your decisions are driven by fear rather than aligned vision, you stay stuck. You hold back. You reject the nudge, the gut pull, the opportunity. You shut down divine flow in favor of control. And in doing so, you risk missing everything God is trying to give you.

Let’s be honest: no millionaire, no conscious creator, no spiritual leader got where they are without risk. Abundance is not found in the safety net—it’s found in the surrender. In the moment you stop asking, what if I fail? and start asking, what if it works?

That’s the “Why not?” frequency—the energy of curiosity, joy, and faith. That’s where abundance lives. Not in low-frequency desperation. Not in the mental loop of lack. But in the open channel that says, “Even when the world says no, God says yes—because I did.”

I’ve had to remind myself of this lesson, especially this week. In the face of doubt. In the face of my husband’s temporary loss of faith. In the face of everything looking like it’s falling apart. But the truth is: alignment always requires risk. Realignment requires courage. And the path of abundance? It will never look like the crowd. It will always look like obedience to the unseen.

So ask yourself:

Are you playing small out of fear—or stepping forward in trust?

Because you cannot claim abundance while clinging to your comfort zone.

God can only say yes to what you're willing to step into.
